We are very flexible in terms of the types of organizing services we will provide, but most tend to fall in the following general categories:
 Sorting through possessions and papers
We work with clients to systematically go through and sort their things. While we won’t push anyone to give up valued belongings, clients are encouraged to "let go" of items they no longer need in order to simplify their lives and make optimal use of available space.
 Finding new “homes” for unneeded items
Clients often find it easier to give up belongings if they know those items will go to people or organizations that will truly value and use them. Primary options include:
Directed Donation
We facilitate donations to local charitable organizations that can make the best use of particular types of items.
Consignment or Online Sale
We help clients sell valuable items through placement with local consignment stores, local online listings via Craig’s List or national online listings via EBay.
Recycling
Finally, we help clients dispose of things that can be recycled or simply need to be taken to the dump.
 Packing for local storage or moves
We help clients pack their belongings in preparation for local storage or moves. For long-distance moves, we generally suggest that specially-trained professional packers be hired.
Recommending new products and practices
Once possessions and papers have been sorted and pared down as appropriate, we help clients determine more effective ways to store and manage them.
Products
We research and recommend products to best organize clients' things – taking into account their personalities, tastes and any budgetary constraints. We also do the actual shopping and installation upon request.
Practices
And last but not least, we suggest simple but effective new ways for clients to better manage and control their things over time. |
